She did not want to bother stopping to go potty, I considered her potty trained but not using by 3. Bribing her didn't work, she had to have consequences for wetting herself, like no TV and no sitting on the furniture. Hope Noah is a LOT less stubborn, and Grandma should totally help out ;).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1199348511572134237.post-21517754219670142402007-11-19T10:52:00.000-05:002007-11-19T10:52:00.000-05:00I'm sure you're way too busy, but I've tagged you ...I'm sure you're way too busy, but I've tagged you for a meme - head over to my blog for a visit :)Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13866020541016760651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1199348511572134237.post-38906325274119052492007-11-19T10:08:00.000-05:002007-11-19T10:08:00.000-05:00Boy he looks like a big kid in that picture! I finally sat them down when they were three and told them to do it or else...I don't know if it was the right approach, but it worked.
My 4th child showed an interest at around age 2.5, so whenever she'd sit and actually produce something, we'd give her a handful of Skittles. When she had her "aha!" moment and figured out what we were doing, she must have gone around 20 times that first day ;). #5 was trained in similar fashion...I think because she had so many older brothers and sisters to keep up with.
I hope that, whenever you choose to do it, Noah will be on board with your plans and it will go smoothly! :)Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10649007194044098187noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1199348511572134237.post-55669924816608339622007-11-17T12:24:00.000-05:002007-11-17T12:24:00.000-05:00hahaha I love it! She should potty train him;) ...hahaha I love it! She should potty train him;)
I was able to potty train Isaac fairly quickly once he was ready. I just put him in undies when I knew I'd be home for 4 days straight. He went in them a few times, but after that he'd had enough and started asking for the potty. That was about 2- 2 1/2.
Now, with Savannah, she will be 3 in Feb and has not went on the potty yet. Refusal. I don't know what to do.
So, I think alot depends on their personality. Good luck with everything and keep updating! :) Cute pic btw.Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05670542231656442015noreply@blogger.com
