We're pretty certain that purees are going to be our texture of choice for some time and I'm getting to the point where I would relish the day that I don't have to buy another stage 2 food. Hallie can sometimes handle a bit more than that, but not much more...I've tried some home made purees with her that work sometimes, but would love something more scientific, or at least empirical. So if you get a chance and are able to fill in some details, we'd love to hear what you have to say.

I never thought I'd long for the day that my kid ate a chicken mcnugget, but boy oh boy does that seem like heaven to me now!abbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03403145277760263562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1199348511572134237.post-40595250346010540302007-10-18T20:58:00.000-04:002007-10-18T20:58:00.000-04:00According to an article I read recently, there are...According to an article I read recently, there are actually THIRTY TWO...count them...steps to eating. There are even some moms at our therapy center that'll puree steak for their kids with steak sauce or ketchup as the liquid. We started with basics like fruits and veggies and then moved onto things like casseroles, mac & cheese, etc. I hear pb & j is good pureed (just add extra jelly) but we haven't tried that yet.Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03472927387632982961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1199348511572134237.post-90274850363070452462007-10-18T02:25:00.000-04:002007-10-18T02:25:00.000-04:00Our feeding therapists just recommended us to do t...Our feeding therapists just recommended us to do this. May I ask what type of foods you puree? SHe gave me a few outside of the obvious but just thought mom to mom help is always the best. It turns out that James may have spme sensory issues, this new feeding therapist is amazing she has done things in the short 3 weeks us going to her than any of them have in 2 years.
